Meeting called to order by NQ9A at 7:30
Treasures report: Don is home sick, John filled in for him. 73 current members, 26 who still haven't paid for 2008 and have been contacted by Don. $4452.67.
Guests: Mike G. from Edgerton who is interested in getting a license. Dean from Brooklyn, K9MPM. K9MPM just upgraded to extra.
Contests: CQ Worldwide – phone, all HF bands. CW sweepstakes November 1st and 2nd.
Repeaters: Both are working, 146.76 has little activity lately. Cambridge still working and linked to weather net.
VE Report: 2 extras, 1 general. Technician and General classes are coming up.
New Field Day sites: John looked at the field by the new Farm & Fleet. Management refuses to let FLARC use the field. Plan is currently to use the usual location. Another option would be Garner park in Madison, would need permission to camp overnight. Steve will look in to using Garner park and report back next month.
JOTA: Met at Ralph W9CAR's house with 5 scouts last Saturday. Made contacts with Germany and England.
Website: A new section called "Young Hams" has been added to the web page with photos of youth hams involved with various FLARC events.
Discussion about having the club have a kit building class, possibly also covering soldering. K8SD volunteered to look in to a list of kits available and will be reporting next month.
