Minutes Summary for 04/21/2009

The meeting was called to order by Sam KG9NG.

Treasures Report - 97 members, $4,911.41, paid some FLARC bills.

We had two guests at tonight's meeting - Lloyd N9LB, and Glen KA9YIU. We also had two new hams - Karl KC9PMQ and Rudy KC9PMP.

Terry Bachmann, W9UX was awarded the ARRL Triple Play Award for working all 50 states phone, CW, digital.

VHF Report - 6m isn't very active.

Repeater News - All repeaters are working normaly, MARA had their annual swap fest last weekend.

VE Report - there's been 3 sessions in the last month, resulting in 7 techs, 2 generals, 3 extras. There will be a general class coming up, it may be at Chamberlain Hall due to construction at the Space Place. Contact Don, w9ixg@arrl.net for more information.

Field day - Frederick, FLARC Treasurer, agreed to order 2009 Field Day shirts from the ARRL if there is enough interest. Please have your orders in to him by May 11th. Click here for the order form.

Sam KG9NG contacted CWRA regarding their '94 repeater, they are not currently interested in selling it.

The Madison DX Club is looking for young hams interested in a scholarship towards college tuition.

BARS will be having an on-foot fox hunt starting at the UW Engineering building fountain Saturday, May 2nd at 11 am.
